Our customer is a provider of online surveys platform with thousands of clients in most European countries.
The customer negotiated a contract with the government. The aim was to create a platform for distributing law proposals, discussing them, and making decisions. The main participants were the ministries' responsible persons. Besides, any citizen could look through all the information and evaluate any law proposal. The gathered data should be analysed by a reporting tool and exported to Word or PDF documents. At the end of the workflow, reports and decisions should be published to any person and agreed law proposals would be included in government’s agenda.
An internet web application became the best approach to reach the goals. ASP.NET MVC was chosen for the server-side. The user interface was created using HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap library to implement Web2.0 ideas. Knockout library was used to create a more sophisticated user interface that helps the user to smoothly create law proposals or take part in any of them. Outsourcing the major part of software development helped the customer to fulfil the terms of the contract. The government got the platform to support the e-democracy trend and thus to become more public and efficient.
