Time and Attendance Management System

Our client is a Nordic market leader in human resource and financial resource management solutions and serves over 12 000 clients in Nordic countries.

Time and Planning platform had existed since the 1990s. To maintain market leadership, the client decided to integrate the software with other HRM products in the suite and to change the licensing and software delivery model to SaaS.

However, old problems prevented it. Functionality was not available through the web, the products interacted with each other via files and had many overlapping features. One of the main challenges was to create a new attractive user interface according to modern usability guidelines.

These issues were solved in stages. Firstly, the key features of the software, such as scheduling employees, tracking workforce time and attendance, and managing absences, were extracted, refactored using .NET technologies, and moved to the web.

After that, the architecture of interaction of the software with other HRM modules was redesigned using service-oriented approach.

The project was implemented by a team consisting of Software Country’s .NET and AngularJS professionals and the client's analysts owning the business logic. 

Software development outsourcing allowed the client to concentrate on analysis and strategic plans. The client increased market share and started providing cloud solutions.
